Unlike the typical 20th Century tobacco card issues, the T222 Fatima cards are glossy photographs on a thin paper stock and measure a larger 2-1/2" x 4-1/2". According to the back of the card, the set includes “100 photographs of famous Baseball Players, American Athletic Champions and Photoplay stars.” The baseball portion of the set appears to be complete at 52. The set includes players from 13 of the 16 major league teams (no Red Sox, White Sox or Pirates). Most cards are seen with a small black number from 2-9 or 12-15 beneath the player’s name. The same number can be found on up to seven cards. Cards with numbers 12-15 are considered shortprints and so designated in this alphabetical checklist.
